Apulicorn Hunter

A rare Apulicorn comes face to face with the Hunter. An Apule is a powerful demi-deity who's status is signified with a volcano-like appendage that constantly spews smoke to ventilate their hearts that must contain the unimaginable power within. Not many creatures become Apules, so when an animal attains such a gift there are more than a few people who will make damn sure that they don't stay that way for long. After almost a year of stalking and searching, Hunter Apule stands before her. She cannot run anymore, she cannot hide anymore.

Hunter: That power you wield.
Apulicorn: What of it?
Hunter: It was meant for a true master. NOT an animal!
Apulicorn: I earned the right to my powers!
Hunter: Then you shouldn't have any trouble defending your "right".
Apulicorn: I haven't done anything to you! Please! Let me go!

The hunters dual knives blaze with searing heat. The Apulicorn stands her ground, ready. She has not eaten in weeks, or slept for days, but her power makes her look as healthy as ever. Her herd was slain, their skinned corpses left to rot in the green fields they once quietly grazed. Had she known what risk her power came with, she would have never have sought to be anything more than a stupid animal. She's seen the world and all of it's depravity, all of it proved too much for her unprepared mind. No matter how many crops she can grow, or wounds she can heal, it all just burns down the second she turns her back. Everyone she knew died, so to spare anyone else such a gory demise she wandered the barren lands. If she dies here, nobody will remember that she had ever even existed. The only person who would remember was this crazed psycho who has been tracking her for so long.
